Here, we confront the reality that salvation is the only hope of deliverance, and that welcoming God’s instruction and surrendering to His plan is the only path that leads toward heaven. And yet, despite the parable’s warning, we hold to this hope: even a stony, trampled heart can change, soften, and repent when it finally receives the Word instead of resisting it.
